We are currently in need of volunteers to be Block Parents across the province.

We are also looking for volunteers to sit on the Ontario Block Parent^® Program Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Ontario Block Parent^® Program Inc. (OBPPI). The Board of Directors advises and aids the Community Block Parent Programs in every way possible, except financially. In addition, the Board of Directors:

• seeks ways and means of financing the operational expenses of OBPPI
• facilitates communication between the Block Parent® Program of Canada Inc. (BPPCI) and OBPPI
• facilitates communication between the Community Programs and the Provincial Program
• maintains a current directory of all Community Block Parent Programs
• prepares an Annual Report at the end of each fiscal year
• encourages new ideas for the continued growth of the Block Parent Program within Ontario
• maintains a toll free general inquiry telephone number
• produces educational material regarding personal safety and the Block Parent Program
• speaks at community Block Parent meetings
• speaks at other organizations’ meetings to promote the Block Parent Program
• contacts new companies to work with OBBPI or to help finance OBPPI initiatives
• Volunteer positions are also available for project managers to help with fundraising, marketing and grant writing.
